The Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park is not only one of the most historic sites in the nations’ oldest city, it is without question the most beautiful 15 acres in St. Johns County. Archaeologically proven to be the original site of the founding of St. Augustine on September 8, 1565, this site has been the location of life-giving gardens for the Timucua Indians since 2400 B.C.
Join us for a walk through this historic site and enjoy our beautiful gardens. In addition to the historic gardens, archaeological sites, antique weapons demonstration, blacksmith’s shop, 16th century Native American burial site, and iconic presentations in our Discovery Globe and Planetarium, you are most certain to be joined by one of over 100 peacocks on your stroll!
